Vibration Switch provides essential protection for critical fans, pumps, motors and other industrial machines. It measures the vibration to which it is exposed and generates relay output when vibration exceeds the preset threshold values.

The Vibration Switch is well equipped for rotating machine protection applications. It offers bright 3½ digit display, precise 4-20mA analog output and one relay output with status indicator resulting in three-in-one product. Set point setting for relay output is user configurable. Remote sensor mounting gives better performance and higher temperature compliance.

Vibration Switch is a strategic tool for protection of machines which measures online vibration and provides relay output for operator alarm or machine trip purpose. Vibration is displayed and alarm is generated when vibration is abnormal. Once alarm is generated, machine data can be analyzed for the root cause of increased vibration. This provides an opportunity for early fault detection.

Vibration is monitored in terms of r.m.s. and peak. When overall vibration is to be measured, r.m.s. and peak measurement technique is considered best for general machine health.

Vibration Switch makes online vibration monitoring cost-effective with its optional retransmission analog output which can be connected to plant RTU / PLC / DCS systems.

VMS4SE accepts input directly from ICP type Accelerometer, processes the signal and gives analog output in the form of standard current or voltage to suit different applications in Power, Cement and Metal industries; Optionally VMS4SE also accepts Universal Analog input to serve various application.

Modular and Expandable
VMS4SE is modular in architecture and Expandable, I/O slots can accommodate a mix of Vibration Input, Analog Input, Open collector output or Relay output. All field inputs are wired by Pre-Fab cables direct into panel terminals.

Configuration
VMS4SE is used for plan wide predictive maintenance. It takes up online vibration and provides data though software. It is configured using the mVSCAN software which is very user friendly; the unit can also be edited by front keyboard and display. The unit has numeric and alpha-numeric displays for value and tag display, Alarm/Trip and control status are displayed by discrete LEDs on front fascia.

Communication
VMS4SE comes with one RS-485 port as a standard, a second RS-485 port an Ethernet Port are options to enhance the communication capabilities of the unit and for direct interface with PLC, DCS or SCADA

Buffer Output
VMS4SE comes with Field interface board with Buffered output on BNC connector for analysis purpose of raw signal of Vibration input.

Alarm/ Trip
The 8 Relay outputs or 24 OC outputs can be freely mapped to any channel set points and configured as Alarm or Trip functionality with Fail-Safe or Normal Logic.

Analog Output
An optional isolated 4-20mA analog output proportional to Vibration range is available to interface with PLC/DCS/RTU for centralized monitoring and protection. Max 8 output is possible.

409-S RPM Monitor is for measuring the rotating speed of a Turbine or other rotating machines; it accepts input signal from proximity sensor/transducer based on eddy current principle, it can also accept input signal from other type of proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, limit switches and rotary encoders, the unit has a isolated built-in 24V DC excitation supply to power the input sensors.

409-S RPM comes with 2 set points and relay outputs for Alarm and Trip purpose, the set points and relay logic can be user set for over speed/under speed Alarming and protection, the unit has built-in acknowledge logic for maintained as well as momentary Alarms, the relays can be configured for normal or fail-safe operation. Isolated Analog output by way of Current/Voltage is available for interface with PLC/DCS systems, also Isolated RS485 Modbus RTU port is provided to incorporate the 409-S in a plant wide SCADAsystem.
